WIJIS Commons is a shared repository of publicly available specifications and resources that pertain to information interchange within Justice and related spheres of activity.

WIJIS Commons is operated by WIJIS, the Wisconsin Justice Information Sharing project. However, content on the site will not be limited to WIJIS production alone. This is intended, in the long run, to be a community site. Some of the content will be contributed by WIJIS; some by other members of the Justice Community, or by interested individuals. For the foreseeable future, WIJIS will continue to administer the site, but will hopefully not be the lone source of content.

• WIJIS Commons is sponsored by WIJIS, a project of the State of Wisconsin Office of Justice assistance. However, this sponsorship does not imply that any content on the site represents official policy statements sanctioned by WIJIS or OJA; nor necessarily the personal opinions of any State of Wisconsin personnel. Part of the purpose of this site is to foster discussion about various issues related to specifications, data architectures, and conceptual information models; these topics often give rise to vigorous differences of opinion. In the interest of promoting useful discussion, contentious opinion and content may persist on the site.
